Coffee Adventure

Well coffee this morning was a bit crazy! For a while now the grinder has been sounding more like a rocket ship about to explode. And today it finally did. It stated when no one could find the lid to the grinder. So we decided to improvise. First we tried a plate, holding is over the top, and using a straw to push the little button to make it start. But that resulted in the beans spilled on the chair. Resourceful as we are, we used a cutting board. That worked great for about 3 seconds until we heard a large crack noise. When we lifted the cutting board, there were chips of plastic in the half ground beans, the blade had come off and smoke puffed out of the grinder. Thus we went on a little adventure to Starbucks.

that blade in the beans looks pretty scary.

Sheesh, coffee making is not supposed to be an extreme sport! Save your digits, yo. Blades are a no-no. : )
