This post is way way after the fact, but a friend emailed me these photos we took before I left for the summer. I can't remember the story, chances are that I was just clumsy today. You can see the coffee on the table and my arm.

Reunion Tour
You may recognize these coffee mugs, on Thursday I drove down to my of place of employment to see some old friends. We had coffee time as usual and I spilled the grounds on the counter. I'm excited to say they've upgraded. Instead of having coffee in the downstairs kitchen, or in the other building, publications now has their own coffee room. I believe this actually happened during caffternoon.
This next one is a guest spill, my former coworker spilled coffee on the table while filling everyone's mug.
Coffee: Arabian Mocha Sanani from Starbucks, mixed with Terra Del Soul from Archer Farms.
I wouldn't typically recommend just randomly slamming two coffee types together, but two nearly empty bags lends itself to creativity. Its hard to sat if either of these would be awesome on their own. I will say I've been told the Sanani is amazing and look forward to drinking that unaltered, and hopefully made in a french press.

Final friday... until the fall
A lot of my friends know but I'll take this spill as an opportunity to explain my summer plans. Today is my last day of work as a designer until next fall. I've taken a leave of absence to work at a wilderness camp for the summer. I'm very excited to do this, but also hesitant that I won't be able to blog all summer. I won't have access to the internet.
But don't fear; I will still be photographing my spills through the summer. We will have coffee at camp. And when on break I'll be catching you up on all my drips and drops and coffee incidences. Two weeks form now is when I start at camp, so you'll still be able to read a few from now until then. However there will be some long weeks in between posts.
Hope you have enjoyed my post since I finally resurrected my blog, and I hope you'll be reading again this summer during the times I can post.

Backpacking Breakfast
This weekend I went backpacking in the Paddy Creek Wilderness with 2 friends. It was so nice to finally go. This was the third weekend I've tried but thunderstorms and more have interfered. Well Friday night we rode out a storm in the car and finally set up camp late. Woke up on Saturday morning, everything was wet and dreary. What better to get you ready for a day of hiking than a cup of coffee. We made breakfast and I whipped up coffee in my Jetboil (fun, because it was the first time I got to use it). As we were packing up the car, I set the cup of coffee on the trunk of my car and it slip off and spilled on the ground. Luckily I had already drank most of it. However somehow I still managed to get it all over me and my car. I don't even know how I got it on my back? Much thanks to Jen for sending me the photos.
Coffee: Some kind of coffee packets I bought from Target. They worked really well for camping.
P.S. After ridingout the storm, the rest of the weekend was beautiful!

Heavy Handed Landed
This is a little old, because I forgot to put this up on Friday, but on Friday morning, I made a little coffee in my office. I set my mug down just a little too hard and splashed a little bit onto the edge of some papers on my desk.
Coffee: Kaldi's Espresso Roast.
Good dark coffee!

Finally, I can blog about Coffee Ethic Coffee
I've been wanting for weeks and weeks to be able to write about the Coffee Ethic's coffee. This is the coffee shop right across from my office and it has in my opinion, the best coffee in Springfield, MO. I'm sorry I love some of the others, but their house coffee is awesome.
This has been difficult to write about on my blog, because they have the most spill proof cups in the universe. Well I finally spilled some on my sweater (right on the button); I was just being careless. I actually did this last week, but haven't had a chance to post since then.
And just last Friday the Coffee Ethic was kind enough to take me in during a tornado. I was in the parking Garage right as a huge storm rolled through, and they let me ride the 30 min out in shop, instead of the creepy basement of my office.
Coffee: Coffee Ethic House. As I'm writing this I realize I need to learn more about it. Details to follow. As I've already mentioned, I love it. Plus the people who work there are very friendly.

Distractions and Fat fingers
Because I was in Columbia, MO I went to my old church that I went to in College. I had the chance to see a lot of familiar faces, and hear a message that was incredibly encouraging. (In case you’re thinking about it too: “Don’t give up” Psalm 31:24)
All that being said, I’m always fidgety when sitting for any length of time. So I spilled little drips of coffee on my friend’s chair, my hands and my chair. The last photo is the “tattoo” my friend Stephanie gave me in church. I just thought it was a fun photo.
This photo make my fingers look really fat and short. Do they look like that in real life? I don't think they do.

Saturday Spontaneity
On Saturday I got up intending to have a productive day. I went to Kaldi’s, had some coffee and breakfast, and played around on my computer. I was thinking about my good friend Sara who I decided to call. Then instead of going to the park, which I had planned to do, I decided drive 3 hours and visit her.
I hopped in my car and drove to Columbia, MO. On the way I was drinking coffee, which I splashed a bit on my arm and jeans. It was so worth it, I had the best weekend with old friends!
Sorry, but I actually can't remember what kind of coffee I was drinking.
